A village that smells of flowers in the spring and of fruit in the fall

The Yeoju Green Tour Village provides a place where people can come to rest and experience both the rural and tourist aspects of Yeoju. The many fruit orchards of the village fill the air with the scent of pear and apple blossoms in the spring and the sweet scent of fresh fruit in the fall. Coming to the Green Tour Village is like coming home.
The Green Tour Village is the picture-perfect rural village complete with wide-open green pastures, rolling plains, mountains and good people. Here, the people live harmoniously with nature, instead of breaking it up to fit their needs.
Thanks to the hard work and the endeavors of the village people, the Green Tour Village is able to prosper and grow without harming the natural environment around it

- A New Village Unit
The villages of Gwangdae-1-ri and Gwangdae-2-ri have combined efforts to build the Yeoju Green Tour Village. This endeavor in ¡°green tourism¡± is the combined effort of the people from both villages to make the village a better place to live.

- The First Year of Green Tourism
Established in the year 2000 as the first year of green tourism, the villagers have succeeded in changing the traditional faming village into one in which people can rest and share the abundance that nature has to offer. The Green Tour Village was built on the ideals of creating a good place to live and encouraging rural-urban exchange.

- The Village for Continued Learning
In the first year, the village was selected as the ¡°village of the information age.¡± From this, the village has catapulted itself and changed its title into the ¡°village of continued learning¡± as of June 2003. As the village of continued learning, all human resources will be utilized for education. For, ¡°to teach is to learn and to learn is to teach.¡±

- Everyday Living Becomes Resources
The simple tasks of everyday life on the farm ? farming and raising cattle ? helps preserve the farming foundation of this village.
