The Yeoju-gun Local Historical Materials Library
houses priceless cultural treasures for display,
research and teaching. We ask that individuals and
families contribute or donate any relevant cultural
artifacts they may have for display at the museum.
-Donations : contributions are
accepted at any time.
-Accepted Donations/Contributions:
Antique archeological finds, Buddhist art,
ceramics, paintings/writings, ancient documents
and books, traditional crafts, unearthed clothes
and ornaments and other cultural artifacts
-How Donations/Contributions Are Handled:
Donations/contributions are first recorded
in the library's books and then used for display,
research or educational purposes.
Some documents and books may be brought together
with other similar works to be published as a collected
anthology.
Important documents and materials will be registered
as a National Treasure (National Treasure, Regional
Cultural Treasure, Important Cultural Artifact,
etc.)
Artifacts that require immediate restoration will
be done so using the library's resources
Donations/contributions will be fumigated and insured
-Privileges Awarded to Donators/Contributors:
Plaque and a copied and enlarged photograph
of the donated/contributed piece
¡Ø Some artifacts may warrant a plaque awarded personally
by the county magistrate
Upon the request of those donating/contributing
paintings, the library may reproduce a copy, using
the same materials and of the same dimensions as
the original, free of charge for the donator/contributor
to keep in his or her home.
Invitation to attend the displaying ceremony of
his/her work or other important events
-Donated/Contributed Works:
Lee Gun-hyeon : The Yeoju Lee Genealogical
Table and the works of Lee Gyu-bo
Ryu Ho-chang : The glasses, fountain pen, seals,
manuscripts, and writings of Ryu Ju-hyeon. Min Bong-gi
- Min Tae-sik's documents during he was in the office
of governor of Heungdeok-hyeon |
