There is a tombstone of Naong, Bojejonja right
behind Bojejonja¡¯s Stone Bell. Bojejonja died
here on his way to the Yeongwonsa Temple in
Miryang and thus his grave and tombstone were
established in this place. His story is written
on the tombstone.
| This
monument is 212cm high and the body
is made out of a 121cm high piece of
marble. The width of the body is 61cm
and all of the foundation, stand and
roof stone are made of granite. It is
notable that there is a list of about
200 of his followers.Notably, there
is a list of about 200 of his followers
on this monument. The width of the letters
engraved on the monument is about 2.2cm,
and the letters are written in the printed
style (Haeseo). It is also noted that,
to protect the monumental body, stone
pillars surround the monumental body. |

The monument¡¯s base is made out of a single
stone on a two-layered foundation. The lower
part of the epitaph has cloud and lotus flower
designs. There are 16 lotus flowers in total.
The upper part has 16 lotus flowers as well,
and a myriad of other engravings.Interestingly,
most of the engravings are of animal shapes.
On the roof stone, the eave¡¯s base and a furrow
in the tiled roof are engraved where generally
only dragons are engraved. The epitaph was
created by Lee Saek, a great author of the
time, and written by Han Soo, a great calligrapher
of the time. |
